Praise and Prayer

One of the great paradoxes of the Christian faith is that God wants us to talk to Him about everything that is going on in our lives, even though He already knows everything.  We do not pray to move or twist God’s arm (Daniel 2:20, Dan. 4:28). We do not pray to defeat Satan (he already is! Col. 2:15). Nor should we pray for selfish purposes (James 4:3).

We believe that prayer for God’s help is one way that God manifests the dependence of his people on His grace and power. The necessity of prayer is a constant reminder and display of our dependence on God for everything, so that he gets the glory when we get the help (Psalm 50:15). Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me (John 14:13). Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

  •  Prayer is the open admission that without Him we can do nothing!
  •  Prayer is the  turning away from ourselves to God in the confidence that God alone will provide the help we need.
  •  Prayer humbles us as needy and exalts God as wealthy!

So,  we believe that God is pleased when we express our dependence upon Him through prayer. In fact, we take seriously the commands of scripture to pray without ceasing, and bear one another’s burdens. We take your requests very seriously.

But, if you’d like, we’d be glad to share you requests with others who will pray too. Just let us know.We would also love to share any praise reports you may have. Please be assured that we will keep your requests confidential.  Your requests will NOT be posted without your express permission.
